You need to rebuild the search index.

After you convert a forum in phpbb you are unable to search the older posts with the search tool until you rebuild the search index.

BTW, I really dislike the new layout. It's hard to see the border between posts. You tried to fix something that wasn't broken.

I agree with Bayguy. It would be different if the functionality was present and it just looked ugly. But the forum is broken... you can't search because whomever upgraded the forum doesn't know enough about phpbb to know how to rebuild a search index... or they just don't care... even worse. Now I can't search for months past of valuable advice. Who's working in the IT department over there?

Remember that the forum upgrade, as Marek said, is still a work in progress, and I'm sure he is working on that stuff (the search engine, etc), and it's fine to constructively point out what needs some tweaking; but in a diplomatic way

I'm just very happy that those 3-month-missing posts came back

There's no need to just post that kind of material here, since support@menspsychology.com is for technical questions and desires.

Anything we do we are trying to give you better quality now and into the future. This new software will last us for years including audio and video add-ons and other functionality.

I think we are going to be tweaking for about another month, and your suggestions are very much wanted and needed, because this is after all, for you not me.

But this is not the place for flaming, even a smidge. I'll pass your complaint on to Marek, but I am certain he is well aware of what needs further adjustment.

Hey guys,
sorry if someone couldn't search for their favorite posts. This has now been fixed. There is a lot more stuff going on "behind the curtains" with our new menspsychology.com site and one thing can simply be overlooked.

HtMizr, thanks for pointing out that search index issue, but it would be much more productive (and therefore fixed sooner) if you read and then reply to the post I've made about our forum update. There is also direct contact to me.

In my opinion, creating this new thread "Dear Forum Administrator" , was like publishing an open letter in a newspaper. Veeeeeery slow to get the message to the right person.

If you are having trouble seeing the border between posts, I would recommend trying to to do some adjustments to your computer monitor.
Try adjusting your Contrast (and/or Brightness). Usually, if the Contrast is set too high, all the lighter colors might look like gray or white.

Try it and let me know if it helped.
