Broken Links in the Forum

Broken Links in the Forum

Postby zoltan » Sun Jan 29, 2012 12:52 am

There are several years' worth of old posts in the forum, and many of these were created when the site was running older versions of the forum software. In the various upgrades, the format of the older links was changed, and you may encounter broken links to other posts, on some of the older posts.

If you need to get a broken link working, try one of the following.

If the old link has a 'post number' (e.g. p12345) in it, try the following format:

http://www.menspsychology.com/university/post12345.html

If it is an older topic, and has a 'topic number' (e.g. t1234), then this trick might not work. These links were significantly changed in a previous upgrade. You might still be able to find it by googling:

site:menspsychology.com t1234

If you cannot get a broken link working, let me know (either post here or send me a PM).

PM me to find out more.
