Requesting tips from Dr Paul's seminars veterans!!!

Postby Morph » Tue Jun 03, 2008 2:40 pm

Hello dear friends,

I'm going to the London seminar in a few weeks (yeeaaahhh) and I was wondering if there are people who have attended any seminar of Dr Paul to give me some tips on how to get the most out of it.

Since there is going to be a LOT of information around, should i get a voice recorder or smth to hear it later and remember all the learnings? (is that even allowed?)

Would it be better to sleep at a hotel nearby with other ppl from the seminar or stay alone to a friend's place and meet the others during the seminar hours (9am-11pm i think?). Maybe it's better to stay with fellow seminardudes, cause it's going to be fun maybe discusing while we go to sleep about the awesome day we had, the learnings etc.

Since I'm going to spend so much money, I want this to be a life changing event for me and want to make the BEST out of it! :)

so any recommendations/advise would be greatly appreciated! cheersss

Hey Morph,
back in December, in one of the newsletters, there was a letter/testimonial from a guy named Mike, where he narrated his experiences in the seminar, and talked about how one year later he was getting married, bla bla.

Anyway, at the end of the letter, he said

...As a favor to Dr. Paul (incidentally I haven't communicated with him since the seminar) I have set up a new e-mail box. If anyone has questions about being a seminar STUDENT only (I am not qualified to answer problem questions) email me through Dr Paul’s assistant, shauna (shauna@menspsychology.com), who has kindly agreed to forward questions to me. And no, not under any circumstances will I give you a copy of the material. Don't even ask. It wouldn't make sense to you anyway without the classroom instruction. Any of the guys from the December seminar, I would love to hear from you; let me know how things are going!

Take care all.

Mike

Just go with an open mind, and be willing to look like a fool.

That's really the best advice I can give. Expect Friday and Saturday to be late nights, so staying close to the seminar venue is probably a good idea.

Ask DP directly if a recording of the seminar will be available, or if you can record it. I recall we had to sign a NDA when I did the seminar, but I vaguely remember it was because of the publisher of his about-to-released book.

The best method

Go in expecting to learn SOMETHING(s) of value, but don't go in with specific expectations. Reason being, you may overlook certain short comings that you may not be aware of if you are focused on one or two aspects alone.

Stay with or nearby other seminar attendees, for those that aren't familiar with our material may inversely affect the positive momentum you would experience otherwise.

In any case these seminars are always a life changing event for all of those who attend. That is the main reason that I present/attend whenever I can. I love observing personal transformation.

Friday and Saturday nights will be late nights and an extremely valuable experience for your personal growth. Don't miss out on a late night event just because you booked a hotel far from the venue. (I'd suggest not too drink too much either but that may just be me.)

I once had a French teacher tell me that there is a direct correlation between study time and actual output/improvement. The more you put into learning the material the more you will get out of it. The more you put into practice the things you learn the more proficient you will be (that is why I suggest staying with/nearby other attendees and staying out late).

This may be a silly comparison, but I used to sell guns at a sporting goods store!!! All I could say to someone who bought and expensive gun is that "you just spent thousands of dollars on this gun, do you really think that a $30 gun case can protect your investment?" If you have decided to spend X amount of dollars to attend why would you jeopardize the experience with distant and inconvenient lodging?

Go in with an open mind, no preconceptions of the experience, and prepare yourself for a life-changing event.

Contact Adnan Tipu or ATnoir. He is our man in the UK. Otherwise, fly me over from Chicago, and I'll cover all other expenses (half hotel), but it would have to be after April 15th.

Adnan prefers you call him on his private # 1-800-LOVE-MEN ;-)

That's a joke of course!
